Press Enter At the System Recovery Options window. What exactly will this change? Any help is appreciated, I'm really worried about getting locked out of my computer. Press the F8 key before the Windows 7 logo appears At Advanced Boot Options, choose Repair Your Computer. I also noticed that if I click on Local Reinstall, in the change settings menu, I will be able to change weather or not I want to reinstall Windows. I don't know which of the two to select, and how I can just reset it, and upon having it restart, just be able to use my computer without any troubles, and any answers I can find by searching online are super vague. To access this Windows reinstall option on Windows 10, head to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. And I'm worried that if I do a Local reinstall, I'll have to enter a product key. I'm worried if I do a Cloud download, it will make me have to buy it again, or something like that. When I go into the settings menu, into Recovery Settings, and click "Get Started" under "Reset this PC", it asks how I want to reinstall Windows 10, with the options being "Cloud download" and "Local reinstall". and I don't have the product key, and have no way to find out what it is. The main issue is that, as far as I know, there isn't any way to reset the computer without also reinstalling Windows 10. If you choose to do a Windows 10 'Reset', Windows will reinstall itself using two methods pertaining to user data: 'Keep my files' - here, Windows is reset settings and installed programs are removed, but your personal files are left in place. I've already thoroughly backed up all my important files. So, I have a lot, and I do mean a LOT, of unnecessary files flooding my Windows 10 computer, so I decided to try a factory reset to get rid of all my non-default files.
